Career
She is a regular speaker at Grand Designs Live in both London and Birmingham as one of three "show ambassadors" along with Kevin McCloud and George Clarke (architect). She has appeared on the British Broadcasting Corporation"s What To Do With The House (When The Kids Leave) and Independent Television"s 60-Minute Makeover, among others and has worked with Virgin Money United Kingdom, First Time Buyer Online and in September 2013 was listed among the United Kingdom"s "100 best experts" by Amara - The Lux Pad. She makes regular contributions to the media, including Metro and the British Broadcasting Corporation, on interior design issues.
She has been a brand ambassador for Bosch Power Tools - also known as Robert Bosch GmbH - and in October 2013 became brand ambassador for Dulux.
In 2014 homewares chain HomeSense commissioned Jo to open a series of new stores across England, at sites including Cheltenham, Solihull and Salisbury. The following year Jo appeared in Sky Living six-part series Who"d Be a Billionaire? along with several other high-end interior designers.
The "talking heads" programme explored the spending habits of the "super rich". She is the director of Jo Hamilton Interiors and runs regular interior design courses at five-star London venues that have included Charlotte Street Hotel and The Sanderson Hotel.
She carries out work for residential and commercial properties and has also designed interiors for yachts and private jets.
She became an interior designer in 1995 with a background in graphic design. She has three children. Her father, Brian Clarke, writes a monthly column for The Times, on fly-fishing and the environment.
