Joanne Patti Munisteri aka Jo Patti was born in the USA, but was moved during her childhood and worked in a number of different countries throughout her life. She was a US High School National Champion in debate, extemporaneous speaking and National Student Congress, graduated from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, Circle in the Square Professional Drama School in New York and Massey University for Graduate school in Education, Health studies in New Zealand. Her poetry is published in the USA, Australia, New Zealand in journals, magazines, anthologies and online. She writes her personal creative fiction, prose and poetry under the name Jo Patti. Her first non-fiction book, "Getting Off the X" received excellent reviews and is part of a trilogy.

Joanne has been invited to work and live with a number of Indigenous tribes and been formally "adopted" into the Ngati Kahungunu iwi (New Zealand/Aotearoa) Gumbaynggir nation (Australia-Aboriginal) and Lakota (Sioux-Pine Ridge and Rosebud reservation families) She was a Sundancer for 12 years on Lakota and Menominee land as well as an invited inter tribal dancer in Texas for many years.
Personality
Joanne is known for her compassionate nature, dry sense of humor and down to earth approach to life. She is focused and direct, an articulate speaker and adept dancer. She is musical, kind and a strong spirit. Jo is known for being original, creative, innovative and one who "does not suffer fools gladly" but is always "solution oriented".
