Johann Anschiltz was born on March 19, 1772, in Koblenz, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.

Career

Johann was a founder, in 1808, of a musical society, also a school for vocal and instrumental music, at Koblenz. He was a lawyer by profession, but also a good pianist and conductor, and composer.

Achievements

• He composed pianoforte-variations and numerous well-received vocal works (songs; 2 arias for alto; some sacred music, etc.).
