Career
Johanna started playing tennis at the age of five in Boden, a small town in Sweden. Now she lives and trains in Helsingborg. Johanna’s family is very interested in sports, so when she was a child she used to do lots of different sports. But when Johanna tried tennis with her elder brother, she was stuck to very this kind of sport. Johanna and her brother played every day on real tracks.
She began her carrier with junior ITF tournaments. The highest achievement was the 79th place among juniors. During the Fed Cup in 2005, Johanna Larsson defeated Anna Kremer from Luxembourg. Her victory helped Johanna to get the attention of the sports community.
In 2006, Larsson had a hamstring. She could not play for a few months, but came back to court in 2007.
The 2008 was a great year for Johanna, she made a huge breakthrough. She won two ITF tournaments in Stockholm and Sutton, and debuted at the Grand Slam. She broke through to the second qualifying round.
In 2009 Johanna Larsson began to participate in the "Australian Open", but lost in the first qualifying round. However, she was included into the Swedish national team for the Fed Cup. After the Fed Cup Johanna went to South Africa to participate in two WTA tournaments. At the tournament in Bogota Larsson had to withdraw because of a knee injury. In 2010 Johanna Larsson won her first title in doubles with Sofia Arvidsson at the WTA tournament in Quebec (Canada).
In 2011Johanna Larsson became a finalist in the open tournament in Sweden.
