Mr. Langford was educated at Lincoln University in Missouri and at Tuskegee Institute, Alabama. After a course of training under private architects, he was taught at Shaw University, Raleigh, N. C., Wilber- Florid in Ohio, and at Edwards Waters College, Jacksonville.
In 1920 he began architectural practice in Washington and in the ensuing years was actively engaged in planning schools and churches in the south. Mr. Langford was also official architect of the National African Methodist Church, and frequently served as Consultant on both governmental and private buildings. At the time of his death he was a past-president of the National Technical Association, and held honorary degrees from many colleges.
