John D. McKenzie

Background

John McKenzie was born on June 24, 1924 in Los Angeles, California, United States. He is the son of Henry J. and F. Mildred McKenzie.

Education

McKenzie graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1948. Two years later he earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.

Career

McKenzie started his career at International Minerals and Chemical Corp. in Chicago, where he worked as a director of administration since 1950. In 1973, he was appointed to vice-president for research at the Development and Marketing Department of Industrial Minerals Ventures, Inc., in Golden City. Three years later he went to International Medical Corp. in Englewood, where he held the position of executive vice-president till 1979. For the next ten years McKenzie worked as a president of Marketing Communications, Inc. in Denver.

Since 1989, McKenzie works as a writer and independent consultant in Golden City, Colorado.

McKenzie also served in the U. S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division during World War II.

Achievements
