Educated Cincinnati Academy Fine Arts. Pupil of Jean Paul Laurens, Academy Julian and Academy Beaux Arts, Paris. Also studied in Brussels and in England.

Winner $1,000 prize, Salmagundi Club, 1922. William A. Clark prize, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, District of Columbia, 1923. Carnegie prize, National Academy Design, 1928.

Wadsworth Athenæum prize of Hartford, Connecticut.

Also honorable mention. Painted portrait of Governor Ferguson for State Capitol of Oklahoma.

Represented in Delgado Museum, New Orleans. National Gallery, Washington, District of Columbia.
