Entered his father’s business. and is now head of firm of John Pound and Company. Entered Corporation as C.C. in 1869. Elected Alderman of Aldgate Ward, 1892.
Served as Sheriff, 1895-1896. Holds Spanish, French, Japanese, and Portuguese decorations. Past Master of the Leathersellers’, Fanmakers', and Fruiterers’ Companies.
Lord Mayor of London, 1904 - 5. 1st Baronet., cartulary-register 1905; Justice of the Peace.
