Career
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he moved with his family to Worcester, Massachusetts. He went to Commerce High School and Becker Junior College. Rucko served in the United States Navy during World World War World War II He then went to Simmons School of Floral Design in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Rucko and his family owned a floral shop in Worcester, Massachusetts.
He also owned a jewelry store. From 1973 to 1979, Rucko served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and was a Democrat.
He then worked for the Worcester County, Massachusetts Sheriff department until retirement.
