Mr. Thomas was educated at the Milton (Mass.) Academy, and in 1912 graduated in Architecture at the Harvard School of Fine Arts and Sciences.
After a few subsequent years of practical training in Boston offices, he moved to Portland, and during the mid-twenties, opened an office under the name of Poore and Thomas. Later, about 1930, Mr. Thomas withdrew from the firm to practice independently, and opened an office at #537 Congress Street in Portland. His works were of a general nature, including the Y.M.C.A. Building on Forest Street, the Canal Street National Bank, and various other public business structures.
