V. chairman Alaska R.R., April 1-September 30, 1923, chief engineer since October 1, 1923-March 15, 1924. United States district engineer, St. Louis, Missouri, 1924-1930. Engineer commissioner District of Columbia, 1930-1934.

Retired as lieutenant colonel, 1934.
