Wood Tatum Sanders & Murphy is recognized as the oldest law firm in the State of Oregon, having been established originally as Durham & Ball in 1870.

The firm"s partners have included three generations of Wood family lawyers, from C.E.S. Wood, who joined the firm in 1887, up through his grandson, Erskine B. Wood, who practiced with the firm until 1986.
