Luebtow, John Gilbert was born on April 2, 1944 in Milwaukee. Son of Gilbert and Evelyn Luebtow.


Bachelor, California Lutheran College, 1967. Master of Arts, University of California at Los Angeles, 1969. Master of Fine Arts, University of California at Los Angeles, 1976.


Director architectural and experimental ceramics departments, De Porcelyne Fles Company, Delft, The Netherlands, 1969-1971;instructor, Harvard School, North Hollywood, California, since 1971;chairperson arts department, Harvard School, North Hollywood, California, 1980. Part time instructor painting California Lutheran College, Thousand Oaks, 1972-1973.
