Career

Ordained priest R.C. Church, 1904. Head of Diocesan Apostolate, Wheeling, many years. Built church at Beckley, and church and school at Weston.

Pastor. Weston; became auxiliary bishop Diocese of Wheeling, February 22, 1922. Became administrator Diocese of Wheeling on death of Bishop Donahue. October 4, 1922, bishop of Wheeling, 1922, later archbishop-bishop.
