Head draftsman with Frank J. Capitain, 1888-1892, and partner with him, 1893-1894. Practiced alone, 1894-1911, then with Walter E. Erkes. Architect Chino Sugar Factory, Oxnard Sugar Factory, Oxnard Hotel, Maier Brewery, German Hospital, Times Building, residence of General Harrison Gray Otis, etc.

Member State Board of Architecture, California, since 1901.
