Studied at Cardinal Manning’s College, Bayswater. Benedictine Monastery, Ramsgate.
Began to study modelling and sculpture under his father at the age of 14, his first important portrait model being that of Milan, at that time king of Servia, modelled 1873. Succeeded his father as artist of the Exhibition on the latter’s retirement. Has contributed to the Exhibition several hundreds ol portrait models of the most eminent personages of the period, representing a unique and reliable record of famous men and women of the day.
Has also made a speciality of models grouped into dramatic tableaux illustrating both historical and contemporary scenes. Exhibited a bust of Lord Tennyson and other sculptures at the Royal Academy. Director of and artist to Madame Tussaud and Sons’ Exhibition.
