Clements graduated from Emmanuel College at Cambridge with a bachelor's degree with honors in 1985.
Clements began to work as a writer and researcher at Euromoney Magazine for a year from 1985. From 1986 to 1990 he was a staff writer and reporter for Forbes Magazine. He then served as a senior special writer and columnist at Wall Street Journal, for almost 20 years from 1990. Clements spent six years at Citigroup as Director of Financial Education for the bank's United States wealth-management business.
Additionally, he is the editor of HumbleDollar.com.
Jonathan is the author of nine books - a novel and eight guides to personal finance. The books "From Here to Financial Happiness" and "How to Think About Money" are among his most popular books.
