Education

Attended Jefferson Academy, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, 1792. Studied medicine under Doctor Benjamin Rush, Philadelphia.

Career

Itinerant preacher of Weslyean Methodist Church in Pennsylvania. Ordained to ministry Episcopal Church, Philadelphia, circa 1793. Practiced medicine and preached in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio.

Author: Treatise on the Culture of Bees, 1813. Logan, 1823; Notes on the Settlement and Indian Wars of the Western Parts of Virginia and Pennsylvania, from 1763 to 1783 Inclusive, 1824.
