In 1951 Joseph received a degree of Bachelor of Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1955, he graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Doctor of Philosophy degree.
From 1955-1960 Joseph Iannicelli worked as a Research chemist at Textile Fibers, DuPont. He worked as a technical director at Clay Division J. M. Huber, Macon, Georgia,1960-1970. Since 1970 he was a founder of Aquafine Corporation, Brunswick, Georgia. Joseph Iannicelli held a position of a chief Executive officer at Aero-Instant Corporation, Brunswick, Georgia,1988. He was a co-founder of IMPEX Corporation, Brunswick, Georgia,1988. Joseph Iannicelli worked as a Consultant of Consolidated Goldfields Australia, Sydney, 1976-1978, at Rio Tinto, Madrid, 1980-1982, at Hoganes, Malmo, Sweden, 1984.
Joseph is the author of "Evaluation and Comparison of Crossfield and Solenoid Field Magnetic Filters",1981; and co-author "A Survey-Benneficiation of Industrial Minerals," 1980. Contributor over 30 articles to professional journals.
Joseph was a President of Georgia Tidewater Conservation Association, Brunswick, 1991-1992; a member of Board of Jekyll Island (Georgia) Citizens Association, 1992-1996; president, 1993-1995. He was a member of Jekyll Island (Georgia) Citizens Resource Council, 1995-1997. Joseph Iannicelli was a Foreman of Glynn County Grand Jury, Brunswick, 1989; Chairman of Glynn Union of Taxpayers, since 1996. He was a Commissioner of Glynn County Board Education, since 1999. He was a member of Technology Association of Pulp and Paper Industry (chairman pigments committee 1971-1972).
He was a Fellow of American Institute of Chemists, Georgia Tidewater Conservation Association.
Joseph is married to Married Betty Peterson on the 28th of June 1978. He has two sons and one daughter.
