Joseph Earle Jacobs

Joseph was born on October 31, 1893, in South Carolina, United States.

Education

He received his education at Johnston Public School and Johnston High School. Then he studied at College of Charleston.

Career

Since 1915, he worked in China. First, he was an appointed student interpreter in Peking. Then he became a Vice-consul at Foochow in 1917. Since 1918, he was a Vice-consul and an interpreter in Shanghai. In 1921 he became a Consul of Class 6. Since 1948, he worked as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Czechoslovakia. Since 1955, he became an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland.
