In charge public schools, Van Buren and Little Rock, Arkansas, 1870-1873.
Admitted to bar, 1875. Member Colorado House of Representatives, 1877, Senate, 1879.
District judge, 1880. Justice Supreme Court of the Colorado, 1882-1892 and 1907-1909 (chief justice, 1888).
