Assistant commander 7th Division in Leyte campaign and battle of Okinawa. 1st military occupational commander Seoul, Korea, 1944-1945. Senior commander National Guard Maine, 1946-1949.

Retired Camp Keyes, Augusta, Maine, 1949. Assistant civil defense director Maine, 1951-1952.
