Career
Andersen later represented the United States in the Mission Universe pageant held in Acapulco, Mexico in July that year. Despite receiving the highest score from the judges during the competition, she finished first runner-up to Margaret Gardiner of South Africa, and was the highest placing delegate from the United States of America from the previous five years. Later in her career, Andersen owned and operated a chiropractic clinic.
