Juliana Farha worked at Canadian Broadcasting Company Radio in Toronto and was Editor-in-Chief of Watch, a youth culture magazine. She earned her Master"s degree at Goldsmiths College, University of London, in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy. Previously she worked as marketing director for the Kun shoulder rest company in Ottawa Canada.
In March 2010, she was named one of 50 "Women to Watch" in the United Kingdom cultural and creative sectors by the Cultural Leadership Programme.
She has written occasionally for the Guardian Comment is Free website, and maintains a blog, "Two Words: Notes and Observations", where she writes about social and political issues. In the past she has written for various publications including Strings magazine, where she was Canadian correspondent.
They have two children.
Juliana Farha is a Fellow of the Republic of South Africa and a member of The Fawcett Society and Liberty, and she supports other human rights and civil liberties organisations.
