Career
Was briefly physician to Lord Sakai in Obama, Fukui Prefecture, and then entered the service of the Shogunate. Together with Ryotaku Maeno and Gempaku Sugita conducted medical experiments and translated Dutch books on medicine at Kozukappara. Died while translating a Dutch book on pharmacology.
