He was born in town Gorodok Vitebsk region (according to other
sources near Orsha).

He wrote in Polish, Latin, Russian languages. In 1970 he completed the course of rhetoric in Jesuit board in Orsha, studied French in Polotsk Jesuit board, Latin and Polish literature in Orsha. Since 1794 he was a teacher in Jesuit boards in Mstislav, Mogilev, Polotsk. He was the mentor in a Jesuit pension in Petersburg (1806-10), worked at teachers` seminary
and ran the monastic library in Orsha (1810-14). He was the secretary of the Jesuit order of Belarusian province (1814-16), the head of Polotsk Academy (1816-18). He moved to Valyn` in 1818. His works were published in the newspaper “Polotsk monthly”, “Messenger of Europe”. The work of Maralevskiy showed the characteristic features of literature during the period of
transition from classicism to romanticism. Together with classic trains, elegies, epigrams, panegyrics, inheritance to Horace he wrote lyrical songs in early-romantic style, in which he reflected on the educational value of poetry, an expression of affection for nature and his native land from with all-humanistic and Christian positions.
