Kain Yoshino

Background

Kain Yoshino was born in 1699 in Japan. Belonged to a powerful family of Sanuki Province (Kagawa Prefecture).

Education

Kain Yoshino studied under Nobuatsu Hayashi.

Career

Kain Yoshino was reticent by nature, and during the eight years he resided in Edo (now Tokyo) nobody could even judge his character. Later he came to the attention of Abbot of Toeizan Temple, who invited him to Kyoto to teech the Chinese classics.
