Kaity (pronounced kI"- tE) Rodriguez is of Puerto Rican and African-American descent. Born in New Jersey, she lived in South Carolina with her family for several years of her youth before moving back to New Jersey. After graduation, she attended the University of South Carolina where obtained a bachelor"s degree.
During her time at University of Southern California, Rodriguez competed in university pageants.
After serving as Mission New Jersey United States of America and seeing the a tremendous influence the media, fashion, and entertainment industries have on American youth, Rodriguez founded The Role Model Group, created to develop and promote positive female role models.
She never won a crown. In her first run for Mission New Jersey United States of America in 2008, Rodriguez won a non-finalist swimsuit award. The next year, Rodriguez won the crown, then went on to compete in the Mission United States of America 2009 pageant in Las Vegas, which aired on April 19, 2009 on National Broadcasting Company.
