Career
Son of Jowa, the Hon-Imbo (highest ranking go player) amid younger brother of Inseki Inoue XII, another renowned player. He adopted the family name of Nakagawa of his uncle. Trained by Shuwa, the Hon-lrn,bof he organized the Hoensha Go Association together with Shuho Murase, who became its president. The association prospered and issued its organ magazine, the Iici Shimpo. After Shuho died ,1886), he became its president. Attained the high rank of eighth dan or grade and trained many able disciples.
