Career
She was president of state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party and earlier of January Sangh. Kamla Verma was imprisoned for 19 months in The Emergency. She served as cabinet minister in the ministries headed by Devi Lal.
She was born in Gujranwala now in Pakistan and studied for Ayurvedacharya.
