After graduating from Umeda Takahisa School (present Osaka Prefectural College High School) and from Osaka Foreign Language School (now Osaka University Foreign Language Department), studying as an auditor at Kansai University Faculty of Law Department. It is the first female student of the school.
Kaneko Kitamura became a writer to the Asahi Shimbun and was noted for her brilliant writings (1928). She participated in the Pan-Pacific Women's conference in Honolulu (1929). Kaneko attended World Conference of Woman Suffrage in Berlin (1930). Entered Aviation School in Tachikawa, and while preparing for a flight to Europe, died suddenly in Tokyo. Her many works include "Travels of Love in Disguise" and "Flying in the Sky."
