Education
He graduated from Law & Literature Department of Tohoku University in 1934.
Career
He served first with Meiji Life Insurance Company and then entered Shin-Aichi Shimbun in 1936. Became nonregular staff member of Japanese Consulate in Canton and civilian employee at General Headquarters of Japanese Forces in China in 1940.
Appointed the director of Business Bureau of Chubu Keizai Shimbun in 1946, senior managing director in 1950 and then president.
Held additional posts of director of Business Bureau of Jomu Kaikan (General Affairs Hall) from 1946 and counselor of Sogo Building from 1950.
