Kanga Takahata graduated from Department of Sanskrit Literature of Kyoto University (1921).
Kanga Takahata was a priest of Jodo Sect. Taught Sanskrit was a professor of the Buddhist College, was instructor of Kyoto University, then after the war, became professor of the Buddhist University. From 1950, has been its president, an instructor of Kansai University, and chief priest, of the Jodo Sect. In 1938, published the Sanskrit, "Ratnamalavadana".
