The Japanese Buddhist priest Urabe Kanjun was born on 1824 in Ryoganji Temple, Settsu Province (Osaka Prefecture).
Kanjun Urabe studied several years at Takakura School of Religion.
Kanjun Urabe was a teacher at the Bureau of the Shinshu Sect. After abolishing the bureau, he preached at various temples all over the country. Later he founded Ichijoji Temple in Mikawa Province (Aichi Prefecture) where he lived and preached for more than 10 years.
