Highlights of Miller"s television career include The Cosby Show where Miller was one of the staff of four who completed the pilot and wrote the first 13 shows of this enormous hit. She was supervising producer and a writer on My Sister Sam, starring Pam Dawber and the late Rebecca Schaeffer.
As Karyl Geld, she wrote episodes of the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Maude, Erma Bombeck"s Maggie, Kate and Allie, Love, Sidney starring Tony Randall, Diff"rent Strokes, Barney Miller, The Bob Newhart Show, Cher, and many more. PILOTS: In 2002 Miller wrote and was Executive Producer (aka showrunner) of the musical sitcom pilot "Life of Riley," LifeOfRiley starring Mickey Gilley, Mel Tillis, Irlene Mandrell, and newcomer Joey Riley.
Miller has written half-hour pilots for every network including "Millionaires!" for Norman Lear/Columbia Broadcasting System. She has written original pilots and performed re-writes and consultations for National Broadcasting Company Universal.
She was a writer on the pilot and the sitcom series "Sherman Oaks" for Showtime, directed all the "Sherman Oaks" B Roll and wrote all the B Roll monologues. She served as a consulting writer on the pilot "There lieutenant Is" for Vin d"Bona Prods for Music Television and also wrote and directed all B Roll monologues for that pilot. ANIMATION: Foreign Universal Family television (a division of National Broadcasting Company Universal), Miller served as a consultant and/or did re-writes on pilots including "Go Grrl," and "The New Woody Woodpecker." Miller was a writer on Damon Wayan"s animated series "Waynehead," for Warner Brothers television PUBLIC SPEAKING: Miller has been a keynote speaker at Erma Bombeck Writer"s Conference BombeckVideo and elsewhere.
