Career
Denman was born in Latrobe, Tasmania, and was educated at Tasmania University, where she graduated in education. She was a school teacher 1968-1989. Private Secretary to the Premier of Tasmania, the Honorary Michael Field, 1989-1992.
Denman was Deputy Government Whip in the Senate 1995-1996 and Deputy Opposition Whip in the Senate 1997-2001.
She retired at the 2004 election. Her term expired on 30 June 2005.
