Kayo Yamaguchi was born on October 3, 1899 in Kyoto, Japan.

Education

Kayo Yamaguchi graduated from Kyoto Painting Professional School. Studied under Goun Ni­shimura.

Career

He painted such noted works as Asa­tsuyu (Morning Dew) displayed at the 12th Bunten Exhibition (1931) and Shirai Uma (White Horse) at the 8th Nitten Exhibi­tion. With a sketch-based painting style, he specialized in representations of animals. In 1981 he was awarded the Japanese order of culture.
