From his early days, Kazuta Kurauchi was greatly influenced by both Keiken Sakata, the famous scholar who owned and managed the school he attended, and his father.
In 1920 Kazuta Kurauchi graduated from the Faculty of Letters of Tokyo University.
Kazuta Kurauchi worked at the Ministry of Education, successively became instructor of the Nihon University, the Tokyo High Mercantile Marine School and Hosei University. In 1933 Kazuta Kurauchi became assistant professor of Kyushu University and in 1935 became professor. In 1948 he was appointed professor of Osaka University.
