Kehaya no Taima was a Japanese wrestler. He boasted great physical prowess. Emperor Suinin made him wrestle with Nomi-no-Sukune, another strong man. In the bout, Kehaya was killed when his ribs and hucklebone were broken by his opponent. This is considered the first wrestling match in Japan.
