Keith Joseph Hey received a Bachelor of Science from Creighton University in 1955, Juris Doctor from Creighton University in 1963 and Master of Laws from Georgetown University in 1969.
Keith Joseph Hey began to work as an assistant professor of law at Washburn University in 1963. Next year he was appointed as an associate at White, Lipp, Simon & Powers, Omaha. From 1965 to 1968 Keith served as an assistant professor and associate professor at Washburn University. For a year he was a visiting professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center. In 1969 Hey became an associate professor and associate dean at Temple University Law Center. From 1975 to 1980 Keith was a professor at University Dayton. Then he was appointed as a dean and professor at Thomas M. Cooley Law Schoo. He held this position till 1982.
