Roberts won the November 7, 2006, general election with 7,655 votes (5300%) against James. 2008 Unopposed for the May 27, 2008, Republican primary, Roberts won with 4,282 votes, and won the November 4, 2008, general election with 11,043 votes (597%) against Richard Adams (Doctorate). 2010 Roberts won the May 25, 2010, Republican primary with 4,397 votes (696%) against Gordon Conrad, and was unopposed for the November 2, 2010, general election, winning with 11,486 votes.
