On the show, he is often critical of today"s wrestling content, and has feuded with other Who"s Slamming Who on-air talent, including Jim Cornette, Lanny Poffo, and Pro Wrestling Illustrated"s Brady Hicks. Bolin began his career as a professional wrestling manager in Nashville, Tennessee in November 1987. He began announcing for OVW again in 2006.

On July 15, 2012, he and Jim Cornette were inducted to the OVW Hall of Honor. On September 26, 2012, Bolin announced that he would be stepping away from OVW and professional wrestling in general to deal with "family issues".
In September 2015, Bolin stated that the Montreal Screwjob was his idea, and that he was feeding the idea to Jim Cornette for weeks, but Vince McMahon didn"t want to do it until the last moment. In the end, Bolin didn"t get any cr for it, and Cornette didn"t want any cr for it because it went against everything he stood for in the wrestling business.
