Kevin Oderman graduated from Reynolds High School in 1968. He got a Bachelor of Arts from Reed College, a Master of Arts from Portland State University and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Oderman authored his first book Ezra Pound and the Erotic Medium in 1986. Later, he wrote poems for the little mags and literary essays, which led to How Things Fit Together. In 2006 he published an expatriate novel, Going. His second expatriate novel, White Vespa, was published in 2012. Three years later Oderman wrote Cannot Stay, a collection of his essays on travel.
Kevin was a senior lecturer at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece, and taught American literature to M.A. students at Punjab University in Lahore, Pakistan. Currently, he is Emeritus Professor of English at West Virginia University and teaches in the Graduate Creative Writing Program at Wilkes University.
