Khachim TEUNOV, USSR Circassian (Kabardian) writer, playwright, journalist and translator. Member, Kabardino-Balkar Department, Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic Union of Writers. Badge of Honor; medal "For Defense of the Caucasus”; medal “For Valiant Labor”. Member, Communist Party, since 1958.


TEUNOV, Khachim was born in 1912 in Kabardino-Balkaria, Northern Caucasus.


Graduated Moscow Institute of Journalism. Graduated Gorky Lit. Institute, USSR Union of Writers, Moscow.


1958 delegation at 1st Constituent Congress of Writers of the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic. 1959 delegation at 3rd Congress of USSR Writers. Member, Editor Board, journal "Druzhba narodov” (Friendship of the Peoples).

Translated into Circassian-Kabardian: Pushkin’s “Kapitanskaya dochka” (The Captain’s Daughter). Gogol's “Zhenitba” (Marriage). Krylov’s fables; stories by Gorky.
