1903-1905 studied at Leningrad Business Institute.
Worked as village teacher. From 1898 journalist. Party work in Revel; February 1907 directed Conference of Est Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Orgs in Terioki, Finland.
Then emigrated and lived in France and England. 1908 returned to Russia. May 1909 arrested and exiled to Siberia.
1911 fled from exile and lived in United States of America, editing Est Social-Dcmocratic newspaper “Vus ilm". After 1917 February Revol returned to Established Worked in Revel for Bolshevik newspaper “Kiir”.
Editor, peasants’ newspaper “Maalamees”. 1917, member, Executive Committee and head, Land Department, Est Soviet of Workers and Soldiers’ Deputy. 19 18 Collegium member and head, Est Department, People's Commissariat of Nationalities, Moscow.
1918-1919 member, Est Labor Commune government. Then worked in Soviet Russia as teacher and ed, Leningrad journal “Klassivoitlus”. Member, Central Committee, Communist Party Established
Delegation at all Communist International Congresses. Member, Communist International Executive Committee. Wrote stories, fcuilletons and verse.
