1862 opened in Khar’kov an illegal (from 1870 legal) Sunday school for women, which she directed for over 50 years. Devised methods of adult educational. Corresponded with other Sunday schools, acting as advisor and displayed the work of her own and other schools at pedag exhibitions in Paris (1889), Moscow and Nizhniy Novgorod (1895-1896).
Member of numerous educational soc and vice-president, International League of Education. Wrote many works on methods of adult educational.
