Kijuro Kawamura formed the Kawamura Ink Manufacturing Company (1908). He reformed the company (1937) and named it the Dai Nippon Ink Manufacturing Company, and in the same year established the Japan Dye Chemical Manufacturing Company which was merged (1944) into the Dai Nippon Ink Manufacturing Company. He established the Japan Printing Materials Company (1950).
Kijuro Kawamura visited Manchuria and China on various occasions to study dye and ink materials.
