Kim Mosley was born in 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
Mosley earned a BFA in 1969 from the University of Illinois, Normal (studying with Art Sinsabaugh and Peter Bodnar), and an MFA from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois.
Mosley has been assistant professor in art at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley, Missouri, since 1975. Previously Mosley taught art at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas (1972-75), and at Bradley University (1971-72). The artist was commissioned by the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts to do a painting about Dallas in 1975.
Mosley's work is self-described as "nudes, alterations of other photographers' works and found images, street scenes, suburbia at night, discount stores and shopping malls."
A member of SPE since 1972 and NEA since 1977.
