In 1975 Kimberley Brady graduated from the Central Connecticut State College (now Central Connecticut State University) with a Bachelor of Science degree. She had a graduate study at Arizona State University.
Kimberley Brady started her career as an elementary schoolteacher at the Tempe Union School District in Tempe, Arizona from 1977 to 1981. In 1996 she was appointed a substitute teacher at the Clovis Unified School District in Fresno, California. After she left teaching to stay home with children. Brady decided to write for fun. In 1997 Brady published her "Keeper for the Sea, Simon & Schuster".

1997Kimberley Brady was a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and of the New Hampshire Writer’s Project.
Kimberley Brady enriched the lives of everyone she touched with her warmth, compassion, and boundless energy. Her children deemed her the best mother in the world.
On February 19, 1977 Kimberley Smith married John Arthur Brady, a manager. They have two children: Shawn Raymond and Todd Anderson.
