Career
Joiner was part of the Fiesta Bowl Queen and Court in 2006-2007, serving as a spokeswoman and ambassador, in addition to being involved with Special Olympics and Best Buddies Arizona since high school.

Joiner won the Mission Arizona United States of America 2008 title in a state pageant held in Phoenix, Arizona on October 20, 2007. This was Joiner"s first attempt at the title, and her second pageant competition after she won the Mission Hispanic Arizona title in 2003. She went on to represent Arizona in the Mission United States of America 2008 pageant, televised live from Las Vegas, Nevada on April 11, 2008 on National Broadcasting Company. Joiner is currently a certified K-12 Special Education Teacher, after graduating magna cum laude from Arizona State University in 2006, where she received a full tuition scholarship granted for community service, financial need, and academic achievement. She attended Highland High School in Gilbert, Arizona, where she was a State Champion varsity athlete, graduating in 2003.
